Go for the Accord (Gen 5). It's way, way better than the EK.
I also considered the EK and the Accord when I was in the market for a 2nd hand coding car. Test-drove both, and the Accord came out way ahead (performance, exterior looks and comfort). Tutal sabi mo naman, FC is not an issue.
Yun nga lang, as others have said, parts are a little bit more expensive. Pati registration (mid-sized cars kasi naglalaro sa 6k and reg. fee, compared to ~2.3k for compacts).

kung brand new and maintenance and gas is not an issue, go for the accord. But if you are buying 2nd hand, go for the civic.

December 16th, 2007 06:37 AM #17Congrats! now may murang kuhanan ng parts, hanapin mo si orly ng carpower sa taft lapit sa lianas near edsa. may mga ex-casa mechanic na pwede rin mag home service. kung may macanvass ka na mas murang source ng parts, post it here na lang or sa accord thread. since 2nd hand car, mag allot ka ng allowance para sa mga papalitan or repair. At wag mag reklamo sa consumption sa city drive. Naka acoord ka naman eh.
