    Mirage ako.
Oo ok ang i10 kaysa mirage. Kaso ang mahal. Nasa vios range ka na. Tapos medyo bare pa compared sa mirage

Anyway, BTT, I would pick Grand i10 then Mirage, Wigo.

Grand i10 for looks and much classier feel. Mirage for practicality and Wigo because its T-badge.

    Just my 2 cents

Yes you are correct, all of the car mentioned are actually a class smaller than Sub-compact but really, with cars getting bigger with each generation, it is getting hard to call Altis as a Compact car and Vios as sub-compact.

My vote goes for Mirage G4 GLX (or any Mirage variant). afaik, both Mirage and Mirage G4 has a 70k cash discount.

thanks sa comments niyo guys...sa November or January pa balak bumili ang friend ko, but I'm thinking na baka kaunti na lang ang discount ng mga dealers since peak season na ang November. (maybe I'm wrong).

may nagsabi din dito na isa pang choice ang Picanto...but I'm not sure kung OK siya pagdating sa FC (I recall yung isang incident sa isang car show sa MOA whereas yung isang owner ng Picanto, inreklamo ang Kia dahil sa bad FC).

one more thing as well, me and my lady friend already rode our common friend's Wigo and she and myself are impressed sa spacious interior niya. kaya she also considers the Wigo.

any dealers na nagbibigay ng big discounts and generous freebies?

    thanks ulit ;)

just sitting inside them... i give the winner's card to the i10.
who says supercompacts have no class?
overpriced... i agree.. but classy just the same.

and despite all infoes pointing to the mirage as the better buy, i still got a wigo.. because it's a toyota!

but TS... what gives with your lady friend? bibili ng second hand ngayon, only to sell it after a year to get a brand new one? kung ok naman yung second hand unit na nabili, bat papalitan pa? unless... bigay ng kumpanya sa kanya nang libre!
naku... kung GF ko yan... tsugi na siya.. habang maaga pa.. high maintenance..

    heh heh.

sabi ko nga sa kanya and she nodded na bumili na lang ng bago para wala masyadong sakit sa ulo pagdating sa maintenance (for as long as masunod yung PMS ng future car niya)

so to summarize, eto ang choices ko na pwede niyang piliin na subcompact cars:

    - Toyota Wigo G (either manual or auto) (top choice)
    - Mistubishi Mirage HB GLX (manual or CVT) (#2 choice)
    - Kia Picanto (1.2 EX manual or 1.2 EX auto)
    - Hyundai grand i10 1.0E (manual or CVT)

I might throw in the Hyundai Eon and Chevy Spark as well, pero it will depend kung gusto niya (and kung recommended din sa inyo). Isasama niya ako sa pagcanvass ng cars BTW.

Also, how can we get those cars through bank via car loan? Paano ba ang kalakaran nito sa pagkuha ng kotse sa mga dealer?

(Sorry, I will not recommend getting her a car through in-house financing ng mga car dealers even if pinaka-priority ang kukuha nito just to get the car faster, since AFAIK, her company will shoulder part of the car purchase).

the mirage is the better buy. i got my wigo because it's a toyota.
but the new celerio might be worth a look.. as is the brio, although it is kinda pricey.
but hey! the vios J is less than 590 with small discounts..

^Vios * 590K is the base variant (targeted towards Fleet and available in white only). They will only give a fixed 5K discount for this bec. it has the highest sales among all variants.

Depending on the discount of the season, you can get a better deal with the Vios J (available in more colors, power windows, hub caps, cloth upholstery, etc).

Yes, the Wigo is not as cheap as it used to be so more headache for Wigo vs. Mirage.

Suggestions for your friend in no particular order:

    Mirage GLX CVT
    Mirage G4 GLX CVT
    Wigo G MT
    Vios J MT

I would not suggest the Hyundai Eon or Chevy Spark.

Let her test drive the vehicles before deciding which one to get.
