I'll go for the Lancer...rear wheel drive < front wheel drive...Your suspension will definitely last alot longer with all the potholes...You don't need alot of horsepower (bumper to bumper traffic)...

(sbi nila un.. ) and sobrang mtipid daw sa gas because it is 12 valve lng.. but, gus2 ko din kc ng box type.. ewan ko kung bkit.. cute lng kc.. anybody out there, mkakatulong.. which do u think is better.. ??

go for the corolla sir. mas bago na mas madami pa pyesa. easier to maintain at bang for your buck ride. sarap pa pormahan, dami versions. tipid pa 2E engine (1300cc 12 valve). i'm getting 12.8-13.1km/L out of my 1300 engine 5 speed mixed city / highway driving. 10-11km/L all city.

mga sir... huwag nyo pong i-under estimate ang isang MITSUBISHI LANCER BOX TYPE... actually i owned 2 box type.. SL yung isa 1984.. kahit 4 speed sya napapaabot ko ng 140km/hr and more... ni hindi mapag iwanan ng isang honda hatch back EG9... umaakyat pa ng Baguio yung mitsubishi BOX TYPE ko... i think it depends naman sa condition ng box type na sina sabi nyo.. ganun din sa corolla... vise versa lang po yan... ang nakikita ko lang naman na problema ng isang box type eh ang body... madaling makalawang... yun ang main problem ng boxtype... pero when it come to performance saludo ako sa box type... mas daig pa ang aso sa katapatan sa amo...

    I think that is a 1.3 2E engine,

oen problem though is the availability of parts, pero there's no arguing na astig talaga ang performance ng Box type. IMO collector's item na ang box type. I see it more contemporary than the Corolla..

both are classics but the corolla is a bit easier on the eyes if you're going out on a date ;)
