August 13th, 2012 09:58 PM #12If you are really bent on choosing between the Captiva and Forester only, I'd suggest you look for units with lower mileage. Its OK even if its older by a year or so.

August 13th, 2012 11:13 PM #16Another car I'd suggest is the previous gen Sorento. That was produced uptil 2009, and the last batches would fit your budget. Unlike the Santa Fe, 4x4 variants are easy to find. Its just a 5 seater though, but if its no biggie to you, its a fine car to have. The 1st gen Sorento is well respected in Europe as an excellent SUV that conforms to the traditional qualities expected from a true SUV and yet is cheaper to run as compared to its more upscale rivals.
