    Those are the hatchback models..

The Aveo sedan sold here(if I remember correctly is an LT) has a stronger 94hp 1.4 liter DOHC engine.
Same prices as the upgraded Aveo 1.5 LS hatchback.
    Aveo 1.4 sedan M/T P640,000
    Aveo 1.4 sedan A/T P680,000

RP spec model looks close to this one...

The Rio sedan sold here is the low end model(no airbag, no ABS, comes with steel wheels etc), while the Aveo sedan sold here is the higher spec model(standard dual-airbags, ABS, power-features, alloy wheels etc).

If you must have ABS and SRS, the Aveo is your only choice among the two.

If you need a product with some semblance of third party support, the Rio is your ticket.

Really hard to compare the two, because they come in very different trim levels and price points. But I give kudos to Chevrolet for offering safety features not often found at this price point.

The Kia Rio competes with the bare-bones 1.3s of other manufacturers, while the Chevy Aveo takes a broad swipe at both the entry-level and the high-end subcompacts of the Japanese.

Those who want the safety features of the 1.5-class subcompacts, but who want an engine a little more economical and a little less exciting might be drawn to the Aveo.

Only time will tell if the car's reliability and fuel economy are good, but I'm hopeful. Remember, this isn't the Optra... the Spark gets very good fuel economy, and the Aveo hatch is decent... let's wait and see what this one will do.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
