February 21st, 2006 07:41 PM #42Are there any City owners here? I just want to get more info about your experience with it. Especially those who got their City second hand, well, if any of you. Info such as km/li, worries involved, spare parts, etc.
I really would like to compare City and Civic some more. Thanks in advance.

ironically, the 1st gen city (yung hindi mukhang ipis) is actually an EF civic..

Yah, but the EG Civic is a better choice, given the asking price of the 1st Gen City (still much too high! As much as similar aged Civics!).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

March 13th, 2006 02:53 PM #49I'm a satisfied Honda City owner. I bought my car used; City Lxi AT 2000 model. It gives me 9 - 10 Km/Lit (city driving; medium to heavy traffic). I sold my Nissan Sentra Series 3 (automatic) due to high gas consumption.
Although mas madami ang CONS, the car serves my need so happy ako. Very fuel efficient for an AT. Everyday car ko ang City...pang sabak sa trapik. I don't need a 1.6L car for a 2-hour traffic drive.
My assessment of the city:
PROS:
- fuel efficient (my main consideration)
- mabilis sa arangkada; masarap i-drive (feeling ko super bilis....kasi magaan ang body eh)
- matibay ang underchassis; tumatagal sa klase ng kalsada. Imagine, isinasagasa ko sa lubak for 3 months now, and wala pa ding kalampag. di kagaya nung Sentra, madaling kumalampag.
- tipid sa maintenance. 5 year old na yung kotse, wala pang pinapalitan (orig pa lahat; replaced timing belt recently).
Cons:
- ride is firm; seats are firm; nakakangawit kapag matagal ka nakaupo
- masikip (compared to Sentra Series 3)
Grabe, parang ginto.
- Walang cupholder
Hope this helps.

March 13th, 2006 05:53 PM #50My friend has narrowed down her choices, and since budget/fuel efficiency are the main issues, she is opting for a Honda City.
Choice 1: Honda City 2000 Lxi Type Z
P255,000 (final price; includes free transfer of ownership)
Mileage: 33,000km
History: first and second owners are both ladies (typically used for home-office travel)
Choice 2: Honda City 2000 Lxi (not sure if Type Z)
P270,000 (negotiable)
Mileage: 169,000 km
History: first owner used it for calamba-qc-calamba 2-3x a week
Suppose they are the same in terms of exterior, what do you suggest?
Daming issue ng SU7:grin:
