    i've read recently about an aftermarket gadget called Sprintbooster for fortuners.this could be a good help in case you choose the 2.5 D4D in giving extra boost in power,though it was'nt indicated if applicable for vvti also.for those who were among the first to buy,did the suspension soften somehow given that your units are more or less 3 yrs. old already? inputs please.

    in addition, toyota should have made suspension improvements this time for these fortuners for sure are here to stay

    it will be helpful also if somebody can comment regarding the FC of both engines.thanx

    yes, sprint booster is applicable for both d4d and vvti engines.

    It doesn't give extra power.

    What the Sprint Booster does is alter the signal going to the ECU from the pedal in cars with electronic throttles, so when you press the pedal slightly, it modifies the signal so that the ECU opens the throttle sooner and at a bigger angle than you request.

    It combats throttle-lag (a real problem on some ECT cars), but it doesn't make the car any faster against the clock.
