Wala nang brand new na Focus MT. Dual-clutch na yung meron (Powershift, as Ford would call it).
Between an Elantra GLS (958k) and a Focus TDCi (1.015M after discounts), I'd get the TDCi. More power, more features, better handling.
The Elantra's advantages are that it's newer and that IMO it looks better. Oh, it has more passenger space too and has a much better interior.
Between a brand-new Elantra and a secondhand Focus, errr, I'd go for a brand new Focus. Ang lapit na kasi ng presyo ng bnew Elantra sa bnew Focus so parang unfair na icompare siya sa secondhand. But if I had to choose, I'd still get a secondhand 2011 Focus (~900k) over a brand new Elantra.

July 5th, 2012 11:26 AM #33i was looking on a elantra entry level, yung MT, 818k. or rather get a focus 08 manual, or a focus 09 powershift. naisip ko nga din, less hassle on maintenance, though budget wise, ayun tataas nga lang. but keeping it real, either 08 or 09 na focus, or carens, hehe.

I'd get an MT Focus just because I like manuals, but to be honest, mas practical yung Powershift - newer, easier to drive.
see my pahabol statement above. i mean, i can go on vacation anytime. but my spouse has her...
