Not yet. I'm pretty sure it'll handle well, though... but I'm not holding out high hopes for its straightline speed.

I hope it proves me wrong when we finally get the tester. ;)

I've already driven the new lancer in Bangkok. I've also driven the Focus TDCi of my gf.

Looks, safety package, av package goes to the lancer.
Speed, fuel efficiency, power-to-weight ratio, 6 m/t, price and fun factor goes to the Focus.

Got to test ride the new Lancer recently. I think it looks very sharp and has lots of nice features like (adaptive HID lights, rockford sound system, very smooth paddle shifters, and nice premium feel).

I think this will be a hit as its packaged quite well.

The Focus can do 13.5 to 14 in traffic. To get it any lower takes hours of crawling at walking pace in Christmas-level traffic. Non-rush hour driving gets you 16 km/l, and eco-mode or looooong highway trips can get 20 km/l.

To get it down to 9 km/l, you have to idle for hours with the aircon on or drive it like a maniac. Racetrack driving that would get 5-6 km/l from a Honda SiR or a Ford Lynx RS will still get you 9 km/l in the Focus.

Driving the focus was really a blast for me. You can imagine being inside an STI in the first 3 seconds from launch..hehe.
