I don't. Just a bit faster than my normal pace. It's just that I pass the expressways very frequently so I know what lanes to choose.

Usually yung mga nagmamabilis sa NLEX masyadong gigil, konting opening lang sswitch kagad ng lane even if the leftmost lane is still faster overall.

I'm new here, nalilito din po ako ano ang bibilin kong car (first car). I'm planning to buy Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G MT, but my financial adviser from my bank advised me that it will be too much for my income. Sa estimate ko kaya ko ang hulog monthly ng Altis (14k+ monthy ang quote from bank with 20% downpayment), but I think my adviser knows this better than me, so I'm taking his advise. Sabi nya, vios daw will be a good fit for me. Kaso ayaw ko ng vios.

Kung ma-aavail ko daw ang car purchase ko na less than 800k, mabababa ko daw ng 2k+ ang monthly amort ko, which is malaking bagay daw.

I'm down with my 2 choice, Honday City E MT or Nissan Sylphy 1.6Base MT. I think makukuha ko ang sylphy ng less than 800k if makakuha ng magandang discount. For the City naman since mas mababa sya, I can go sa mas mataas na variant kesa sa E, kaso gusto ko pong mag manual, I think E lang ang MT nila na inooffer.

Full compact vs subcompact, parang no brainer.. Kaso po yung mga nabasa ko sa thread na 2016 Nissan Sylphy, parang puro negative nabasa ko po. Please advise mga sir.

    Thank you!

Do you have a family or are you single. For a first time car owner you cant really go wrong with the choices kasi. Those are mainstream japanese cars. I say take the advice baka di mo pa na consider ang costs assoc. With cars.
You have gas, maintenance, registration, parking fee and toll fees. Pag sinagad mo ung monthly budget mo baka ang ending tipid na tipid ka na sa ibang gastusin.
Ok saken ung city, maganda sya and maluwag daw rin. Pwede ka naman mag ipon ng pang mods para ma improve ang manual variant.

What particular negative things have you read about the Sylphy? I think it's a great car considering the humongous discounts they're giving. Better than the City at the same price point.

I'd get a Sylphy over a Vios or City, anytime.

you have to ask yourself, why do you like or not like that car (whatever model it is) ?
how do you see that car, sir?
will it be your status symbol of sorts, to impress the masses?
or will it be your basic, non-MRT-non-LRT mode of transportation?
do you have a large-ish family who will fill up the seats?
will the car be an extension of your house (you know... cluttered beyond belief with house items) ?
i am a big fella, but i and my wigo get along fine... and it's probably one of the cheapest brand new cars in the market. but i have yet to see how long it will last...

negative comments...? you should surf this these threads, po. there are praises and curses on practically every other popular car model...

...no brainer...? pardon, but... that's for those who refuse to use theirs, po.

and yes... if the finance company says it's too expensive for you, i tend to believe them.. their bodega is probably full of re-possessed cars.

    merry christmas, sir.

With the choices you have Sylphy is the best. I have a Sylphy Manual sir. No problems at all so far. 1yr ownership everything runs as it should. no complaints. Good car for me. Fc is also good at 10/ltr. Heavy metro traffic and 18kms/ltr. On hiways normal mode.

One fellow tsikoteer recently bought one also with a whooping 60k discount plus freebies. [emoji106]
