These two has the same unit price at P1,490,000 but the following matters?

Discount of Everest for All In is 250,000
Discount of Fortuner for All In is 30,000

Of course Toyota they say has low maintenance...

But I m longing for the Ford Everest because of the P220,000.00 difference on discount.

DOES THE DISCOUNTED PRICE is worth the choice?

I say they're just about even. The Everest will be ditched at a much lower price come selling time. So, the discounted is actually compensated with low resale. But then, it makes the entry price much lower for the Everest. Most Everest can be had with leather and ICE package too. So that's a plus. Both have VGT 2.5L, but the 5 speed automatic (vs 4 speed auto for the Fortuner), side opening tailgate (hatch opening for the Fortuner) and tail mounted spare is another plus. The 18" wheels is attractive too. And technically, the Everest (MKII released 2007) is newer than the Fortuner (released 2005). I say the Everest is a greater value.

Had Both (08 Eve, 07 Fort) & 2011 Montero, just for comparison since they're on the same category.

    Everest:
    +Space is Good. Excellent Legroom.
    +torquey Engine
    -Interior feels cheap
-Quite an old model and is due for a new model.
    -Automatic Version is Slow...

    Fortuner
    +Responsive engine
    +Nicely layout Interior
    +Leather Seats
    +Feels Solid
    +Resale Value
    -Still Bouncy Ride
-Too Expensive for what you'll get
    -That Tail lamps

    Montero
    +Very Responsive Engine
    +Excellent Visibility from the inside
+Has the most comfortable ride of the three
    +Most Value for Money
    +Resale Value
    -Heavy Steering
    -feels tiring to drive
-Medyo Malakas sa Diesel for a 2.5 Engine.

O.T. If you really dont need an SUV why not give the new Carens a look. Better people mover. Discounts are upto 250,000.
