October 20th, 2012 06:59 PM #22TS, if you're trying to keep it for more than 5yrs mas favor ako sa vios.

Same old saw about the "200 kmh" Vios? Yeah, and my Lynx can hit 250 kmh... Same way... Downhill.

Niky, tanong ko lang. Katulad nung dare devil sa taas na tumakbo ng 200kph on T-rated tires, how long can the tires last running * 200kph before it goes bye bye?

You do know that the Lancer is a Mitsubishi, right? Feeling ko kasi parang Honda pagkakaalam mo.
Sa 2, newbie, Vios ako. It's easy.
Personally, I'd pick the Fiesta. Laki pa ata discounts ngayon! :D
But if I'm on the market now, I'd wait for the Accent CRDi HB :D
TagaPampanga ka? Get a haima! Ahaha!

Considering it's doubtful he went 200 kmh in the first place (not going to get into a discussion about how woefully inaccurate stock speedometers are and how he was likely only going 180-190 kmh, which is the drag limited top speed of fthe Vios), it's an unknown. Could be safe to do it for an hour. Could blow up halfway through. It will depend on the tires' age, the inflation, the temperature and the vehicle's weight.
When testing load and speed rating, not all tires fail when pushed beyond spec. Insteas, you aimply have a statistical chance of fiery death coming when you least expect it.

October 22nd, 2012 05:25 PM #27Kayang kaya ng Vios and 200kph, but is it callibrated at that speed?..hehe..it can be check via dyno
Going back to the topic, vios is cheaper to maintain, the thing I dont like is the temperature level wala sa dashboard..bakit kaya tinganggal nila yan, kaya di mo alam kung mag overheat kana..malalaman mo nalang umuusok na engine mo, too late, sira na mga gasket (or is this true on 1.3L on how about 1.5L?). Tinitipid nila ang system monitor, which is unsafe (in my opinion)
For the Fiesta, higher cost of mentainance, speed baka makakasabay din sa 200kph ng vios..hehehe (low priority for smaller engine disp)..powershift, heard some issues, so safe get the MT. Engine is ready for turbo charging but tranny might not be able to withstand higher torque.

The Fiesta Powershift tranny definitely is not safe for turbocharging. It has a very specific torque limit, unlike the wet-plate clutch in the TDCi.
Then again, most cheap torque converter automatics start slipping once you start putting serious power through them, anyway.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Tutal first car mo naman, pag praktisan mo lang muna...kuha ka ng 2010-2011 na vios, yung mga low mileage 10k-20,000km lang tinakbo, P200k-P300k cheaper than bnew...try mo sa certified pre owned toyota sa may edsa balintawak area, may 1 year warranty on top of the remaining warranty ng kukunin mong used unit. O kaya tingnan mo used car section dito sa tsikot o sa n man sa internet. Kahit o pag praktisan mo ok lang compared to bnew laki depreciation.
Ang tagal na ibinalita yang ban. Tapos warning pa ang ginawa first few days. Yung mga nahuli pa...
