Chevy Optra 2005 or Nissan Sentra 1998 SS S4

Please help us to decide on which car to buy. Me and my wife are planning to buy our first car and our budget is around 150K only. 2nd hand lang target namin just because we just want to have a ride every weekend when we are going out with our son. Hirap na din kase maghanap ng Taxi everytime aalis kami lalo na were located at Taytay.

Our option is Optra 05 and Sentra SS 1998, yung Optra di pa namin alam ang milage pero based sa mga nabasa kong feedback kaka research, mukhang madami problema ang Optra and mukhang magastos ang maintenance. Yung Sentra naman na inooffer samin nasa 140K na yung milage pero medyo naka setup na, with LCD inside and may may 17" na na mags though wala nako masyado mahanap na review.

Please give us your thoughts para naman makapag decide kami ng maayos. I'm rooting for Optra since medyo newer model, pero my wife like the Sentra.

between your choices, although the optra is newer, i would go for the sentra.

Sentra ako dito. Madali ring pormahan. Although may pagkamalakas din sa gasolina, pero hindi kasing lakas ng optra.
By the way, be sure na walang problema sa MAF yung makukuha mong unit. Pahirapan na kasi pagkuha ng piyesa nito. Makakakita ka sa mga surplus shops, but buong throttle body ang bentahan *10-15k.

i'd get the sentra. there's a reason why sentras are so common on the streets, while optras are quite.... uncommon..
and since the car you are getting is a used car, we should think about the availability of spare parts at reasonable prices..

but if you stumble onto a similar-aged but good-looking corolla selling at the price range, consider it..

Just get the sentra. Optra grabe sa lakas ng gas. Better of na magsuv kung ganyan lang kalakas. Maintenance, sentra parin.

kahit pa 100k di ko kukunin yan optra... meron kami nyan sa office.. grabe lakas sa gas, mas madalas pang sira kesa tumatakbo..

Same here. We had a 1.8L Optra at the office before and it had a lot of headaches compared to the other office cars (City, Altis). Mas mabagal din kahi 1.8L yung Optra.
