    Hahaha... sorry about that.

True, it's difficult to get CR-Vs at this point... Honda, in fact, is trying to downplay the CR-V in ads and the media, because they simply can't cope with the number of orders.

What can I say? It's not a very handsome car (but I'm beginning to like it), but it's a pretty good one, and people are lined up around the block for one.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

magkano ba ang Santa Fe? Parang ayaw ng father ko Captiva. Di dahil panget, dahil daw kasi Daewoo ang engine nito. ewan ko bakit. sirain ba Daewoo na engine?

It's better to invest in any other brand... just don't go Chevrolet. You'll regret the costs afterwards. If you've read on some newspaper about all the costs and gas consumptions (even in the forums if I may add), you'll see.

The 2.4 liter gasoline engine of the Captiva is a GM Family 2 engine by Holden, same Family as the Ecotec.

The common rail turbodiesel of the VCDi model is by VM Motori S.p.A. and GM Powertrain.
The Captiva's GM Theta platform was developed by GM of North America.

Below is the Chevy Captiva and its sister model the Opel Antara/Saturn Vue...

The Captiva might soon be launched in Canada where there is a larger demand for smaller vehicles compared to the USA. It should slot below the older Equinox which is built on a LWB version of the Theta platform. (The Captiva uses an updated version of the SWB Theta platform)

I guess some people still mix up the compact Captiva with the full-size V8 Tahoes and Suburbans.
The Captiva is an all-new model that just recently hit the showrooms.
GM's answer to an SUV with lower cost and better fuel efficiency? ...the common rail turbodiesel powered Captiva.

i dont mind driving this captiva basta walang lang problema sa dirty diesel. i dont care about traction control features. i dont understand it anyway.

i more concerned about 1.275M intro offer na after 5 months eh hindi tataas tapos ang dami-dami freebies tapos crdi engine na tig 2k a month lang for my driving use.

sa chevy, well nagka-chevy na kami so coping up with the CASA is acceptable. basta ang importante dumami ang bumili nito na diesel so that parts can be lowered.

If you wanna take a gamble, then the Chevy captiva could be a good choice. Resale value of chevy cars are very low, parts are expensive and hard to find plus their cars are all gas guzzlers, hopefully the diesel ones can break this trend.
The CRV is the safe bet, with honda value for money, great resale, better reliability than daewoo. Looks are up to the eye of the beholder thou.

The main production of the Chevrolet Captiva is in Korea by GMDAT(thats the new Daewoo company under GM), GM Thailand is one of the plants that assemble the Captiva.
It was designed at GMDAT's Design Center by GM/Holden designer Michael Simcoe and Max Wolff.
The Captiva was designed with the European market in mind.
About the platform and engine details, they are all GM(as mentioned in my earlier post)
The Captiva is GMDAT's 1st model to be developed as part of the GM family.

PS: Michael Simcoe has been working with GM since 1983, he was also involved with the styling of the Monaro aka GTO...

...and the initial designs of the new RWD VE Holdens (sketched by Peter Hughes).

Max Wolff, designer of the T2X concept.

About the Daewoo name, the Daewoo name is now mainly for the Korean Domestic market(GM's domestic Korean name), most GM products sold in Korea are re-badged as Daewoos like the Saturn Sky and full-size Holden Statesman.

Actually, its more like the new Hilux and Fortuner which are now "only" produced outside Japan(Thailand).
