Personally I would never consider the Avanza because it looks so domesticated. It's one of those cars that just doesn't seem to match the personality of millennials.
The Ecosport on the other hand, though I'm not a big fan of its styling, is a subcompact CUV I can live with if I had to.
Both cars are too slow for my taste though, and I would trade the lower ride height for the bigger passenger space of a sedan of the same price, not to mention much better handling.
For business use though, the Avanza makes sense as a no-frills people carrier. Then again, the Ertiga has way more character and is comparatively cheaper.

Regarding the Jetta TDI 1.6L MT, I am trying to check if this is an ongoing promo with the dealer or if this is a one-off sale event.

Just confirmed with VW BGC. The Jetta 1.6L TDI MT is available for all and for sale at 850k. It shares the same engine as the Jetta 1.6L TDI DSG. Limited stocks only, only white color remaining (black color has been sold out). For inquiries, please call Humprey Silang (09175230006). Units can be seen at VW BGC, free test drive offered.

November 8th, 2016 10:15 PM #30I think its because of the brand. Madami parts, madali maintenance. Simple engine.
May nakausap kami na mekaniko sa mazford. Habang may value daw yung escape ibenta na at wag daw bumili ng escape, fiesta at eco sport. Sobra dami daw problema nung tatlong yun.

Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
