another question, since im also interested with TDCi M/T wouldnt be hard for me to have a manual car since Im a girl? im not sure ha question lang... actually manual car ang gamit ko ngayon, pero nahihirapan pako sa mga hanging, but iniisip ko masasanay din ako sooner or later... but then with TDCi... di ba ko mahihirapan pag traffic? kc nakakangawit dahil manual nga... tapos ano naman ang difference nito (aside from being a diesel) sa mga old manual cars like may Toyota 1.6L GLi?
    4AT - 4 speed automatic transmission
    IMO - In My Opinion.

It's not a question on using a manual or an automatic tranny. It's more of more effort being done when using a manual tranny. I actually ordered a Ford TDCI for myself. Footpedals are a bit sensitive, but I like the feeling of using a manual again (though I wish they had a sportronic transmission version available). Since it is torquier, good control on releasing the pedal will be helpful.

Thanks for the info. But is there a 2.3 model on our shores? I think not, unless you wanna buy one from the gray market. Also, FYI, the JDM FD Civic is a rebadge Acura in the states, I think it's called the CSX, please correct me if i'm wrong. A suitable on shore comparison would be more adequate IMO.

Based on some reviews here, There was a report that some of those who did a test drive had their engines cut off (namatayan) due to improper blending of the clutch and gas pedals. This may be a good indication that the engine even at low rpms is responsive (please correct me if i'm wrong again), very impressive indeed.

I guess if i will purchase TDCi, i should start practicing yung mga hanging... Opps, wait napaisip ako, lagi nga palang traffic sa makati tpos madalas pa dun sa mga areas na may hanging sakit sa ulo mag M/T (well, cguro dahil d pko gaanong expert sa M/T)

Practice makes perfect. Even I had some time adjusting to the view of the FD without you seeing its hood in front. Now, I can even do bumper to bumper traffic and do high speed maneuvering inches from the next car without hitting the other and all the more that you need that TDCi engine for that fuel savings indeed.

If I had the luxury like you have now, I'd get the TDCi or the 2.0S m/t of the FD civic. The TDCi offers Excellent handling plus excellent engine that can catapult the focus into blistering speeds. Great car!

As for me, I still love sedan styling so I choose the FD plus the great support from the tuning scene.

Sabi nga eh, hindi pang babae yung Civic, Focus at saka Mazda 3. Yung pang babae ay ang Honda Jazz, Chevy Aveo Sedan, Vios, Honda City at saka Toyota Yaris. Yun yung pang babae.
