Rather go for the Sorento over the Santa Fe. Foreign magazines says the Sorento is better off road.

Budget is also an issue, hehe. Sta. Fe 4 x 2 or Sorrento 4x4. Puro sub 2M, subie is expensive pero pasok talaga sa preference ko. Xover, higher ground clearance, luggage capacity is substantial, enough power. But, but, the CX-5 is still very tempting. Meron pa CX-5 pag traffic namamatay ang engine while all electronics onboard are running. Medyo matipid pag ganun. Anyway, wait ko na lng ang xtrail pag lumabas na then let us see.

Yup. But it can go a while if the cabin is already cold enough.

The Forester 2.0 is fine for everyday use if the XT is too expensive. Already comes with X-Drive, which is an integrated traction-control/hill-descent/crawling mode. Pretty effective, actually. And the ground clearance and articulation are okay for a crossover.
