The Trooper may not be very fuel efficient as these vehicles go, but at least it is still more economical than the CRV.

Back then when the Trooper was new, the Pajero was actually looked down on for being a slowpoke and having a cramped interior as compared to the Trooper. And now the Pajero's resale value is sky-high as compared to the Trooper. Not very desirable if you are willing to religiously maintain the car.

Hehehe.

mukhang ididispatcha muna talaga yung Civic mo bro a, wala akong masyadong alam dyan sa Trooper na yan but try other options and stretch mo yung budget mo ng konti, konting-konti lang para umabot sa Pajero Exceed or Nissan Patrol Safari.

kung gusto mo medyo praktical, mag Toyota Revo ka (yung diesel), kaya-kayang sumargo sa lubak at swabeng-swabe kahit walang menor-menor sa mga humps.heheheh!!!yun nga lang hindi katulad ng SUV ang ride niya na para ka lang dinuduyan while inside the cabin. may tatag ng onti but over-all its a fine AUV.

una nilabas ang 4jx1-tc with 4x4 MT sa trooper.. ang sarap nga ihataw! walan kwenta ang hatak ng 4jj1 ng alterra or any 4wds na kasabayan nya! MT-4x4 is from 2nd-half 2000-2002(last stock) then 2003-2005 ung skyroof ed--wala 4wd na...

to be safe, lalo na kung di ka car-buff, get a late 1999 to 1st half-2000 model trooper. same features sa late-2000/1st batch of 4jx1tc powered tropper, pero ang makina is the reliable 3.1L 4jg2-t.. at ang maganda sa local 4jg2 vs japan 4jg2 is, local=timing gear, japan=t.belt.

pero ako, kung papapiliin ako, late 1999-early 2000 4jg2-t powered trooper ang hahanapin ko... pero ang problem sa ganung model: WALA PA AKO NA-ENCOUNTER NA OWNER NA WILLING TO LET GO NG TROOPER NILA . 4jx1-tc poweded, madami sila halos ipamigayan na sasakyan nila.

There's a reason why the resale value is low; there's also a reason why you don't see much of them on the road today.

My take: unless it's the 3.1L turbo diesel version of the Trooper, go look for a Pajero or Safari.

    Wala.

Yung una, sobrang lakas sa gas at pangit ride.
    Yung pangalawa, scary. :rofl01:

    CR-V 1st gen nalang.

Nasa 560-600+ pa yung 1999 FM.
    Mahal, 'no? Hehe.
    Sayang talaga ang Trooper, 'no?

Una kong tinignan is makina, which is the problematic 4JX1.

Dagdag ka nalang ng budget and get a Pajero FM o Patrol.
