October 11th, 2012 12:53 PM #21My 2002 model BMW e46 (3-series) is a daily driver and it already clocked 133,000++ km. I can say that it's built like a tank. Maintenance-wise, like any car, there are some wear & tear items that needs to be replaced. Parts can be sourced out easily and the price is similar to Japanese brands. All in all, if you own one, you should use it because it is built to be driven.

I have family that's kept their Lexus for over a decade now and it still looks and runs well, that's why when it came time for me to shop for a car I decided to go with a Lexus. I think the car already hit 200k miles, of course they have it well maintained which I'm sure adds to the longevity.
Choice I would have made as well.
