given almost the same downpayment and monthly amortization, which is better, the SENTRA GX M/T(POWER) or the LANCER GLX M/T?

Hindi naman sa bias ako (since 09 lancer glx owner ako), pero the problem with the sentra GX is the engine displacement. Actually, at first akala ko advantage nya yun (mas matipid sa gas) pero sa kakabasa ng thread dito sa tsikot, nakita ko na mas matipid pala ang lancer. Sa sentra kasi, naglagay sila ng 1.3 engine sa isang full size sedan. Medyo hirap ang makina sa lagay na yon (lalo na kapag may pasahero ka sa likod), where as yung 1.6, tama lang sa size.
Sa features naman, naka allwheel disc brake ka na sa lancer kumpara sa front disc, rear drum setup ng sentra GX. 4 speaker with Pioneer HU na USB and aux in ready na ang Lancer while sentra has 2 speaker w HU w/ IPOd ready (ata).
Sa aircon lamang ang nissan (since kilala sila sa malamig na aircon). Hindi ko sinasabi na hindi malamig ang lancer ko, pero with the right tint, naccompensate naman ng lancer.
Sa PMS, mas mura ang labor and parts ng mitsu compared sa nissan.

March 8th, 2010 08:09 PM #4I have to agree, for a body that size only a 1.6 engine would do, you'll just stress out the 1.3 engine of the sentra.

Actually, no... you don't really stress out the engine unless you are trying to break the land speed record with the Sentra 1.3L.
For city driving, you only use a fraction of the engine's total potential power. Typical drivers rarely even go over 50% of the RPM range in their daily commute.
So.. although the 1.3L is a small engine, it can do a sufficient job as long as you don't need to drive the car at break-neck speeds on the highways.
