The current Focus only comes with 1.6 (125 hp) and 2.0 (170 hp) engines. The Ambiente and Trend variants have the 1.6, while the TOTL Titanium and Sport+ variants have the 2.0.

It's the previous gen Focus that came with the 1.8 (123 hp) and 2.0 (143 hp gas, 134 hp diesel).

Di pa ata available locally yung 3-cylinder turbo engines ng BMW. Not sure if some of the local MINI Coopers are being sold with the BMW 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo engine. These turbo engines will be adapted later on for the 1-series, 2-series, 3-series, and MINI cars replacing the 4-banger engines.

The good news is that most manufactures are now looking at moving into small displacement turbo engines for 2016 and 2017. Ford (Ecoboost) and Volkswagen (TFSI) have been successful in fielding turbo engines in their model lineup. Honda will be fielding a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder for the new Civic (2016). It offers a higher output and better torque than the 2.0L VTEC engine on its current TOTL Civic. It might even find its way on the Accord, replacing the 2.4L VTEC engine. There are also news of Toyota fielding turbo engines for the Camry within the next few years.

Yung Audi A3 at A4 has models with the 1.8L turbo engine. The A3 comes with a DCT (7-speed dual-clutch) tranny while the A4 comes with a multitronic (CVT) tranny. Kung mayrun lang sana VW Golf 1.8L turbo or VW Jetta 1.8L turbo, mas marami pa sana choices si TS.

Haha di nman over sa ganun budget pero ang main consideration is the specs. I've checked the Sylphy, its spacious and looks elegant tlga. Mjo basic lng ang dashboard pero comfort and space cguro hanap ko.

Musta nman review sa driving experience nito?
