Sa mga econobox, halos no advantage in fuel efficiency yung MT option sa automatic option. Not to mention you get less features with the MT option which is usually the base model.

I’d consider an MT if it’s a WRX or Evo or Golf GTi. Kung mga vanilla compact or subcompact cars lang yan, I won’t bother with an MT.

I think sa mga mx5 panalo parin ang m/t vs. a/t with paddle shifters, lalo na malambot naman ang clutch. In fact, yung 2.0 m/t mas matipid pa nga than a city 1.5 cvt prolly because of weight too.

Personally, having driven a car M/T for 5 yrs now, i encouraged him to get a M/T instead of his usual A/T. I haven't driven A/T cars that much, so i really really can't tell the better one objectively. Based on car racing games naman... manual trannys get the better edge, d ba? and i prefer it too. Pros and Cons..., maintenance cost, acceleration.. etc. Love to hear your insights mga pare. I appreciate it!

i used to be a staunch MT fan.
    now, my cars are ATs.
my body is old and worn; AT is simply easier to drive, in the long run.

The MX5 has similar EPA fuel ratings for the AT and MT but the MT has better acceleration due to shorter gearing so the answer probably depends on the particular vehicle.
