Just to be clear, my "no quarter" attitude does not apply when driving at speed. Only when at a stop or at very slow-moving or crawling traffic. Particularly so, if the offender is a PUV. It gets my blood boiling to see them 'steal' your lane just to stop a few meters ahead to let in/out passengers.

When moving at speed, you are welcome into my lane as long as you do it legally and safely.

for some of the comparisons this could help.

Normally, I'd choose a conventional AT over a MT because of convenience. But, when it comes to a CVT replacing an AT, I would rather have MT. I have reservations about a CVT's durability.

That is, I'd be fine if a CVT will last 14-15 years because at that point, it would be time to get rid of the car and buy a new one. Right now, I'm not even sure if a CVT will last 10 years.

You have a point there. Plus it may be more expensive to repair a CVT rather than an AT.

You can still see a lot of old Jazz/City IDSI and Lancer Cedia models on the streets despite some being not being maintained religiously.
