If I only had one choice to put in my garage, I'd go for a classic American V8, like a black 60s Vettes with the split window at the back. I witnessed one of these babies and just the idle of the engine alone was causing the ground to shake. It separates the men from the rice boys.
I have no objection with the modified 2.0L japs. But the thing is, you have to modify everything, i.e. brakes, suspension, stabilizers, performance gizmos, you literally changed the whole car just to get performance out of it! plus you hear an engine whine instead of a growl.. again, it's a matter of preference.
If I were to choose among the contemporary American muscle cars, I'd most likely go for the Chrysler 300 Hemi 5.7L netting out 400bhp, supercharge it and it could go more.
My second choice would be the Mercury Marauder. If a Harley turns into a car, it would like the Marauder. with the double barrel exhaust split at the back that generates a sound like a pack of coyotes... who needs a radio?
Again, it's the American muscle for me... by a mile..
Cheers

american muscle for me. strangely when i drive my droptop stang around it gets more smiles from chicks of all backgrounds compared to my bmw roadster. just based in experience when the chicks look at a car they dont see if it is a special edition of a generic type and tend to gravitate towards the classics.

The last V8 twin-turbo Pontiac GTO I saw (actually the only time I ever saw one) had two beautiful women passengers. One of them was a redhead. That's probably why I remember it from a Friday night when so many souped-up cars are running around.

I'm a big Nissan fan but that's about as much Japanese muscle as this is and it will do it with 200cc less engine displacement and 8 less valves in the engine. BTW that Titan was made in the US along with it's V8 engine.

Or this might even be better a Dodge Ram Mega Cab with a 5.9L straight 6 Cummins diesel producing 1,008hp and 1,864 lb-ft.
