hamats ba budget ma'am? kung mga 230k, may benta sa protegetech na mazdaspeed familia na white (my peborit color)

cons:
rust sa rear fender
high fuel consumption on automatic tranny familia (doing about 6km/l)
erratic idling

pros:
good handling for a stock car
roomy roomy roomy
peppy engine
comfy seats
sporty looking (lalo na yung mazdaspeed) + + pa yung mazdaspeed goodies na kasama
protegetech philippines, inc
low resale value (a plus for second hand car buyers)
Got Mazda?-http://www.MAZDAtech.org est. 2000
got mazda 2? -> mazda2ners

generally, I'd go for the newer car provided that it is in good shape (if not better than the older vehicle).

I'd also go for a M/T for better fuel consumption.

for 200K you can even get a 98 familia 323 glxi (gen 2.5). 160-170K will get you a 97 familiar 323 glx (gen 2).

230K for a mazdaspeed 323 is a bit too much IMO (since many "mazdaspeed" are in fact just GLIs with bodykits). you'll be better of with a glx / glxi variant.

For that budget, sama mo na 95-96 Corolla na GLi. Can't go wrong, sobrang tipid sa gas, good power din. Sarap pa bihisan.

Pwede din late 90's na Sentra, or 95 Civic esi, medyo konting tyaga lang nga maghanap. HTH

A 1997 to 1998 Nissan Sentra 1.6L Super Saloon will fit into your budget. You might want to check it out if you want to include it into your options.

The Mazda 323 Familia GLXi 1.6L is a good choice but go for the M/T because the A/T consumes gas like we drink water. Out of town driving only got me 7-8 km/L and city driving would get me 5-6 km/L. Advantages of this car is the interior is roomy and the suspension is very smooth. Downside, too much plastic in the interior.

for me Mazda 323 Familia GLX

nice features:
~ABS
~4w disc brakes
~Foglights
~12CD Changer
~All power

good power, nice handling, roomy, ma porma pa. ive mentioned this alot of times before, the 323 has probably the best sounding engine compared sa mga rivals nya... napaka mababaw na rason, pero talagang nakakatuwang pakinggan tunog nya.

get MT though.

also consider Sentra SS series3.

well... the A/T of 1990s is a case to case basis per vehicle. but if you want an A/T:

you'd be lucky to get a well-maintained one (preferably from someone you know)... but be prepared to have a higher fuel consumption.

a not so well-mainted A/T will give you tons of headaches... jerking problems, very high fuel consumption, etc.

97 Mazda Familia or 95 Mitsu Lancer?
