This question seems to have been asked, before, and the answer is still no.
The 2.0 Galant SS hits 100 km/h in about 12 seconds (it's automatic, right?) and probably does the quarter mile in about 19 seconds. The SiR can get to 100 km/h in 7.6 to 8 seconds and hits the quarter mile in under 16 seconds. Those 3+++ seconds are an eternity in the quarter-mile. No matter how badly the SiR driver flubs the launch, the SiR will win.Last edited by niky; August 4th, 2007 at 12:15 AM.

Puwede rin namang ganito ang interpretation ng tanong:
"7g Galant SS" vs "SIR all stock"..
Baka yung SIR lang ang all stock.

Ah. Kung may manual, about 10 seconds to 100 km/h yun.
Kung ganyan yung interpretation... non-stock Galant... tanunging natin si ssaloon kung kaya...
The fastest non-turbo Galant (of that generation) was still a bit slower than the SiR, but SiRs are tricky to launch (you shouldn't be afraid to rev it, and you should be able to modulate the throttle). The VR4 is faster.
