    hello, looks like this thread is a perfect timing kc bibili rin ako ng 2nd hand car.
    Yung napili ko is 2006 Model for 500k Honda idsi 1.3 A/T 15Tkm. Below are my questions:
    1. Reasonable ba yung price, kc yung cnabi ni Archie above is 430K for the Honda idsi 1.3 manual 2006.
    2. Ano yung "CASA RECORDS"? What does it mean? Is it dahil 15T pa lang yung odo ng kotse?

    Kinabahan kasi ako sa cnabi ni vito na "check more" if walang casa records kc CVT yung binibili ko...I still have chance na i-urong ang bilihan if this is not a good choice kesa maglabas me ng 475k na balanse for the car na hindi worth it...

    hmmm mukang city na nga... ill give this link to him para makatulong.
    thanks pips!

    ok lang po singit since same topic naman... madami na po kasi kami narinig na horror stories on the CVT, yung isang tito niya has the jazz CVT 1.5 tapos hindi daw smooth shifting and nagbreak down na and repaired in a span of its 4 years. no choice yung uncle but ipagawa sa honda kasi wala pa may kabisadong shop on that transmission. another is yung friend namin has the 04 city idsi CVT, yun bumigay din yung CVT niya. sold it after...

    match it with the threads here...

    pero yung cousin in law ko, meron sila CVT, no problems pa naman daw since purchased.

    no offense sa mga CVT users pero parang unreliable talaga yung CVT tranny kaya he opt to get the m/t na lang.

    to answer your questions...

    price wise, medyo mahal for me yung 485k... well thats me anyway.

    yung add ons niya like visor, fog lights, duck tail, sobrang minimal para isama sa resale price. may difference lang na sa add ons are sound setup and mags upgrade IMO.

    You know what, pangatlo ko na tong car if ever. My 1st two are toyota DX sold it after 4yrs then I had Toyota Gli bigbody then sold it after 4 yrs... Now, nilakihan ko ang puhunan ko to buy slightly used car kc ayaw ko talagang mag BNEW sa laki ng depreciation kc i usually sell my car every 4yrs. NOW, sobrang kinakabahan na ako because sa cnabi na HORROR stories sa CVT??? grabe akala ko pa naman best buy na ang HONDA CVT kc matipid daw sa gas at "HONDA" raw, mataas ang resale. So, hindi ko na ba itutuloy ang pagbili nitong 2006 Honda 1.3 idsi A/T CVT with 15Tkm? with this deal kasama na ang transfer of ownership into my name.

    Tinext ko na yung 2600 LTO service to verify if may issue etong car pero wala naman, malinis naman.

    I called Honda the other day to canvass the add ons:
    Foglamp= 14K orig;7K honda approved
    Ductail=12K
    Visor=3.5K

    I am now thinking if CVT is a good choice...nagsawa na talaga kc ako sa toyota manual at sa power steering issue nila sa bigbody kaya i am thinking to try this Honda CVT idsi...hayyyyyyy ano kaya maganda kong gawin while the deal is not yet completed?

    Archie, I would caution your friend on such a new City not having service records. Simply put, your friend can't be certain just how properly lubricated it was the past 23tkm. Your friend won't be able to feel it now just by running it, but later on, it may possibly affect it's fuel consumption, or emission results in later years.

    mm15744, read a thread before about CVT problems, Honda's seemingly lack of capability to repair, and the high cost of having the tranny repaired or replaced. Just a thing to consider.

    Edit: found the thread: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40740

    well, yun lang naman opinion ko sa CVT. honda has one of the more reliable engines in the industry, i have my civic for more than 8 years now and wala pa leak, or malfunction sa engine (kaya honda fanatic ako)

    yung CVT lang talaga yung concern ko but still, there are people that attest that this tranny is the best. they say na sobrang tipid sa gas and matic pa. i dont know talaga and no first hand experience on my part. playing safe lang yung friend ko kaya m/t kukunin niya.

    yung mga add ons niya, madami sa labas na pwede kunan niyan ng mas mura... yung ducktail... mahal na nga 4k sa banawe. mahal talaga sa casa if your going to ask them. the only way you can prove na casa lahat kinuha yung gamit is the receipt. kung wala nito, well baka sa labas lang binili yan.

    well for me, i dont treat those add ons as value added for resale. sobrang minor lang upgrade IMO.

    oo nga sir eh, yun din yung isang inaalala niya... kasi dapat casa maintained pa for three years to at least avail of the warranty period.

    question lang to anyone who can answer... can we call up honda para malaman kung dun pinapaservice yung oto? or is there another way to find out?

    TIA
