Something to consider when getting a Subaru with a CVT.

Not only Subaru. Honda (Mobilio, BRV, City, Jazz, Civic, CRV), Toyota (Vios, Altis), and Nissan (Juke, Sylphy, Xtrail) use CVT trannies.

It ain’t as bad as Ford’s mess with its dry-type DCT.

That’s true. Wish Subaru and Honda just offered a manual option.

They used to, with the Impreza and the Civic 2.0. And both didnt sell well in PH compared to their automatic counterparts.

Cant blame them for no longer offering those models in MT. These days, only their performance models have that option.

You can buy a City or Jazz in MT tranny. The Civic Type R comes in MT tranny only. For Subaru, you can buy the WRX in MT tranny and the WRX STi only comes with an MT tranny.

Scotty looking like a old clueless dino.
Needs to retire. Obviously, he only wants old tech.

Yes he is old, but I do think he knows what he’s talking about.

    I like his diy though.

But again, toyota, and every other car company has tsb' s as well on their auto trans. So yeah, to say it as a fatal flaw it means it is so deadly, that it needs to be avoided like a plague. So click bait.

Ford and their dct is another story though.
