Hello. I am currently looking for a new CUV and narrowed down to these 2 units. Any thoughts on the CX 5 and tucson? Always been a honda buyer so I have no idea on how the aftersales, maintenance, costs, performance and reliability are with these 2? budget is 1.5 unfortunately so an FXT is crossed out. Or should I just get the tucson CRDI GLS. thank you so much

Go with the Mazda cx-5 since it has the YOJIN3 package which means you get free PMS including parts and labors for 3yrs or 60k kms. I heard Hyundai have bad aftersales service. How about the Honda CR-V and HR-V since you are a Honda lover =)

Hyundai after-sales service in the Philippines is terrible. FB groups for elantra and santa fe have been a refuge for most owners lol.

Hyundai in Australia is the best though.

I suggest staying away from hyundai because of their warranty requirements.

Mazda cx5 pro * 1.495M; tucson crdi gl * 1.348M?? Tucson na ako kung ako ang bibili. One year lang sa casa then after sa labas na PMS. 2k plus lang ang change oil & filter sa labas. Japanese vs Korean no problem sa kin.

yeah inisip ko din yung price pero yung tucson CRDI variant na GL kasi driver side airbag lang vs 6 air bags sa cx 5. unless mag tucson GLS ako na same price nang cx 5. scary lang the after sales stories like the others have posted.
