[QUOTE=yebo;3183502]Mag kia sorento ka na lang. Meron 2013/14/15 sorento na 600k, maybe even less. Tawaran mo. Remember buyers' market ngayon, wala masyado bumibili ng 2nd hand cars kaya pwede mo baratin. Huwag ka mahiya tumawad, pera mo yan e.

As per kia parts madami naman yan. Also sa sorento common ang parts with hyundai santa fe. Madami kia/hyundai oarts dealers.

Huwag ka mag ford everest. Sasakit ulo mo. Promise. Ako binenta ko na yung everest ko bago pa mag 3 years.

We owned a Ranger 2.2L XLT, same parts lang sa Everest ata. May warranty claim lang sa cracked intercooler but after it was replaced, it never had any problems in our 7 year ownership. Nilagyan pa namin nung throttle boost, yung kinakabit daw sa computer ng sasakyan. Ni kahit isang part sa suspension walang napalitan. Highway driving usual route, madalas may mga under construction pa ang dinadaanan ha. Usual wear and tear parts lang tulad ng brakes and fuel filters. Very reliable and its not babied either.

AFAIK the Ford Everest uses the 6R80 transmission which is based on a ZF 6-speed. It's considered very robust and reliable, if sometimes lacking refinement. It's the same transmission used in Ford F150s since 2009 and is rated for up to 800Nm of torque (hence the 80 in the name). On the Ford Ranger/Everest Mazda BT-50 it's barely stressed and should last a very long time.

Shift shock is most likely due to fluid degradation or low fluid level as it uses a low viscosity fluid.

It's hard to check fluid because you have to crawl under the truck to get to the filler/dipstick. Also hard to refill because you need some sort of hose and pump to get oil in as the filler hole is not accessible from the engine compartment. It's a hard job so if the CASA guys are lazy I wouldn't put it past them to just not do this check if you aren't watching the work closely.

All the 3rd gen Everests and T6 Ranger 6ATs use the same 6R80 transmission. It only changed with the introduction of the 10AT.

    Ford 6R transmission - Wikipedia

Even the first F150 Raptor with the big V8 used the same transmission. The 6AT Mustangs, even the previous GT500 also use the same transmission, so it's really overbuilt for just the Everest/Ranger.

This video might help re: hard shifting issues which might be a learning issue lang caused by one driver who likes to drive the car hard. It shows how to clear the transmission adaptive learning tables.

Second is to check the fluid. 6R80 transmission fluid only lasts 30k miles, and our traffic is much worse.
