thanks again guys, eye opener ung k smokingblowjoe, at least 1st hand experience from an owner talaga.
consumption is not that big a deal for me right now, i walk to our office lang kasi & my kids' school is 5-10min away... occasional meetings to ortigas to makati & some out-of-town shoots lang ang long-distance driving...

Yes, meron naman talagang naaakit for these types of vehicles. Despite our narrow streets, limited parking space, some people opt for these. Indeed space is a luxury for those who cannot afford it.
Just like in planes, there are those who prefer first class or even business class compared to coach.
For us plebeians, tiis na lang.

My 08 Explorer Eddie Bauer consumes 4km/L pero mabigat talaga paa ko.
dahil 5 gear A/T na yung sa akin, pag long drives kayang mag 10km/L (tested).
GO for the Explorer pare!

mas mahal pa nga PMS ko sa Santa Fe sa Hyundai CASA eh

4-5 kms/liter isn't bad ha, for a v6 explorer and even a v8 e-150.
guys from the office here get an awesome 5 kms/liter... problem is, they drive optras and other assorted subcompacts 1996 model and earlier.
sa kanila oks lang yun. pero for me, i think there's something seriously wrong about the way they drive or how they maintain their cars. 5 kms to a liter on a 1.6 car is atrocious gas mileage.
if they all went out and bought expys and other v6s, i bet hindi man nila maramdaman ang difference sa consumo hehe.
