    For me, suzuki samurai 1300cc. Super tipid at 11 to 13km/l pag stock ung gulong - malakas na pag 30" up ung size. 4x4 na ladder frame and solid axles like a land rover and land cruiser kaya sobrang tibay ng pang ilalim. Natatanggal din ung fiberglass canopy niya at fold down ung wind shield - parang landrover na nga. Sa kotse palit ka ng palit ng suspension parts, sa 4x4 palit ka once, antay ka mga 3-5 years bago masira - kung nagtitipid ka ang buong suspension nito pwede rebuild ng Cruven. http://www.cruven.bravehost.com/contact.html.

    Pwede mo din kargahan ung samurai kasi foldable ung rear seats at may roof rack. For parts, madami din parts if you know where to look pero di kasing dami ng toyota or mitsu. Madami din cheap surplus available. Ung presyo ng parts di naman masyado malayo sa mga popular na japanese cars. May suzuki din kasi ako. Sabi nila dati sobrang hirap daw ng pyesa at sobrang mahal - eh daming generic japanese parts ng toyota, honda at mitsubishi na kapareho lang sa suzuki. May replacement parts din suzuki so di mo kelangan pumunta sa casa. Dala ka lang ng sample sa auto supply.

    Ang maganda sa samurai may mga clubs so may tutulong sayo sa maintenance at may mga gurus na makukunan mo ng tips. May mga adventure rides din sila kung saan ka pwede sumama kasi ang suzuki samurai kahit stock, aakyat ng kahit anong bundok yan di tulad ng ibang 4x4 na kelangan mo pa modify.     Mataas din ang height ng samurai so pwede mo laban sa baha. Wala din electronics so sobrang dali lang ng maintenance.

    Downsides: no power steering and versions with seiko seki aircon di masyado malamig. Ung units with denso aircon mas ok. Mura lang din naman magpalit ng compressor from seiko seki to denso - same size and bracket lang naman kasi - ung fittings lang iba. You can convert in any aircon shop in evangelista makati.

    Feroza ok din daw. May feroza club sa www.4x4ph.com so maraming tutulong sayo dun - sobrang active ng feroza club mag eenjoy ka dun - may girls din na members para kang pupunta sa party tuwing may eb sila. Daihatsu is a project company of Toyota so madami din daw Toyota parts na pwede. P90k up din to. Power steering na at ung limited edition power windows and door locks na din pero mejo malakas daw sa gas depende sa unit na makuha mo. 1600cc na carburated kasi ito na low gears - wala din electronics - pang bundok talaga - ask the feroza club nalang kun anong tire size ang matipid sa gas. Ung mga naunang models may Limited Slip Differential na - Pajero walang LSD na stock bibili ka pa mahal din un.

    Dont be put off when people tell you that parts of these rigs are hard to come by - most of these ill comments made are from people who have never owned them. Browse through the samurai and feroza clubs at www.4x4ph.com and learn more about them from real owners. You can ask the members about the parts, maintenance, reliability and fuel consumption vs the above mentioned cars. Make sure you specify that you will be getting a stock vehicle as most of the rigs there are heavily modified with engine mods, re-geared, lifted and with very big tires so the fuel consumption is very far already.

    Ok din pala ung mga vehicles na nabanggit ng ibang members sa taas. Boto ako sa sentra eccs na all power - pero mas gusto ko manual. Lamig ng aircon nun tapos all power na. Mas sanay lang ako sa 4x4 kaya yun ang una sa isip ko. Good luck!
