the sentra is ahead in the CAMPI stats because nissan sold a whole boatload of the entry-level 1.3GX model. i would suspect na 90% ng sales nila is the 1.3GX to which they've added some power features. although a big body like the sentra with a 1.3L engine and an auto tranny boggles the mind.

Yup. I'm seeing a lot of the GX around... it's starting to become one of the fleet managers' cars of choice in today's market. It's the biggest thing you can get nowadays with a 1.3 now that Toyota has unloaded their end of the line Corolla 1.3s.
A lot of former Sentra 1.3 FE owners (I used to own one, and I talked to quite a few) optioned up to the GX and they all complain of the power. While the FE had short gearing and a light body to counteract the effects of the lower push of the 1.3, the GX doesn't. It really is dog-slow, but it's cheap and roomy, with a Nissan aircon, and for fleets, that's all that counts.Last edited by niky; February 25th, 2006 at 11:54 PM.

Heck, for anyone looking for basic transportation, that's all that counts.

September 22nd, 2007 12:44 AM #187If you’re looking for power and roominess go for the Altis. If you’re looking for fuel efficiency and style, choose the Civic. Although the Civic lacks rear disc brake, rear stabilizer bar and torque it’s still my choice coz I own one! Hehe! I happen to have a US version EK Civic with dual airbags, ABS, moonroof and integrated rear window antenna. My only complaints are the flimsy cupholders, no rear stabilizer bar, no rear disc brake and slow response specially when climbing. The Altis has more torque but the Civic saves gas. You can compensate for the imperfections by buying aftermarket parts such as performance brakes, stabilizer bar kit, intake, headers, hi-flow cat and muffler. Its just depends on your needs.

September 22nd, 2007 06:13 PM #188Sa experience namin medyo mas reliable at fuel efficient ang Honda eh. Kaya kung sa kanilang 2 lang, Civic pa din -- MT siyempre -- kung marunong ka din lang, it'll perform better and cost less.

October 14th, 2007 09:35 PM #190ano po ba ang 0-100km/hr ng 7th gen 1.6 vti civic a/t? talaga po bang 16 secs? so based dito sa mga nabasa ko sa forums faster ang civic pag sa mga overtake sa highway? kasi cruising na siya at higher rpm? so mas di ka mabibitin sa overtake pag civic kesa altis?
