Kung diesel at 08 <-- facelifted Fort sana. Fort ako all the way. Vios na lang as per the TS choices.

Kung baha lang ang problema, get a secondhand Adventure or Crosswind. Either of which has less stuff that can be damaged in a flood. Replacement ECUs for flooded Fortuners are expensive.
Of course, a Fortuner IS a better anti-flood vehicle than a Vios, but discretion is the better part of valor. I learned my lesson the hard way a looooooong time ago (way back in 2001), and despite our house going four feet underwater three times in the past few years, I have not lost another car to a flood. (Except the pick-up, but I let that get flooded because it was carbureted and had no interior, anyway... just hosed it out and no problem...)
Some more thoughts on flood-survival here:

March 25th, 2013 07:57 PM #24I will surely go for a FORT...yung looks ng vios madaling ma laos unlike Fort.. and yung pang ilalin ng fort mas tatagal compare to vios. so kahit mas matanda na yung fort compare sa brand new vios mo for 5passenger mas tatagal pa din fort

Get the fort! Mas mahal maintenance ng vios. Disposable kasi ang suspension.

March 26th, 2013 03:30 PM #26Parang sobrang gamit naman po ng fort. 70k? then after a year or so, lalabas na yung mga sira niyan so you have to prepare for maintenance. Also, 2.7 VVt-i pa siya, medyo malakas sa gas. But the good thing is, since you're 5, comfortable kayo since SUV siya, also it has more cargo space. On the other hand, the brand new vios, parang hindi rin naman po sa inyo fit yung vios dahil madami kayo. Baka ilang years pa lang, bumigay na siya. Why don't you consider innova/adventure??

March 27th, 2013 10:48 AM #29we decided fort over vios due to its size since we are family of 5. plus since its well taken care of, it and we pray give us a good 2 years of no worries. thanks again for all the inputs. next step for me is to look for shops which can have it serviced(change oil etc) and where to have the aircon cleaned(since tanggal dashboard yun)..

Panasonic Lead Acid is now under GS Yuasa. Sent from my SM-S901E using Tsikot Forums mobile app
Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
