based on your criteria and kung city lang, better yung innova. sanay na rin naman kayo sa auv so it is definitely an upgrade over the advie. i would think better ang seating positions nito than the everest. ingress/egress of people and stuff would also be easier because of larger doors and lower height.

the everest is a heavy duty suv based on a pick up. expect a harsh ride, crude amenities and engine. but you can expect it to handle far worse conditions than the innova. maintenance wise, tingin ko mas madali ito kasi "old school" ang engine and shares a lot of parts with the ranger which sold quite well naman. so kahit talyer sa tabi tabi kayang kaya paandarin ito kung malubog sa baha.

personally, everest din ako. i like the ride height and sense of security and reliability ng legitimate suv. though i've seen an innova during ondoy na lumusong sa baha na hanggang headlight niya. nabuhay naman. this was a diesel btw.

    goodluck!

    innova diesel

    -comfortable ride
    -turbo
    -electronic yung silinyador.
-malambot ang clutch pedal, easy on the knees, leg etc
-malaki blind spot sa right side, because malalim yung dashboard? same as my friends latest civic? lalim din dashboard
    -manipis ang kaha and paint

    04/05 ford everest

-stiffer ride compared to the innova, larger tires, HUGE shocks, pang ford trekker yata pang ilalim kaya matibay talaga, di ko sure kung naka lsd na din to, HUGE disk and drum brake
-turbo intercooler, matipid sa gas lalo sa highway, noisier engine at mas malakas vibration, pero mas malakas sa akyatan to kahit puno pa ng pasahero at gamit, pwede pang offroad lalo na yung 4x4 version, proven to be tough, im not sure kung kaya din nya 1 ton load tulad ng trekker.
-old technology engine, kayang gawin ng common mekaniko
-madaming compatible engine parts from nissan and mazda sa autosupply.
-old style ang design ng dash, same sa trekker, mas ok interior ng late 04 or 05
-dual airbag, yung innova walang airbag
    -kapal ng kaha at paint
-pakiramdam mo talaga safe ka pag gamit mo to
-really fun to drive, no problem ang humps at lubak kahit patalunin mo pa, I would not do it sa innova baka masira yung shocks hehe.
-maliit turning radius, innova malaki turning radius mas madali mag maneobra.

my vote = everest (its fun to drive + its an SUV)
