Yaris 1.5 M/T or Vios 1.3 M/T?

I dont know how soon the replacement is gonna be, but last time (circa 2009) when the facelifted Yaris was about to arrive, the pre-facelifted Yaris was being offered to as low as 680K about as cheap as the Vios 1.3E variant.

hello ms jennivivs, may i know which car you've ended up buying if you already bought one?

I'm a new driver, just learned to drive weeks ago and I'm about to buy my 1st car. And as expected i know nothing about cars! This thread is really helpful as i'm also considering the same options since i have a friend who works for them. I want unbiased opinion though. My main consideration is fuel efficiency coz if it's not that different i'd go for the yaris.
