* TS, IMO 1st reco ko ay Strada 4x2 M/T since long distance driving, you may need to bring some stuff and the truck bed is very useful for any kind of luggage and it is ok also for city driving. Pogi pa IMO. 2nd would be the Innova diesel M/T. Mas matipid sa strada ang advantage niya. Pasok lahat sa needs/list mo and hindi lalampas sa P1M budget yung 2 yan IMO.

March 25th, 2011 01:59 AM #22Personally, I do not find brand new vehicles any better than comparable, well maintained 2nd hand units that are around 1-3 years older. For your requirements, any of Hyundai/Kia's CRDi's would suit you and your family very well. Comfortable, freakishly fast, fuel efficient, long five year warranty (of which 2-3 years may still be left in some cases), what else could you ask for? IMHO, gas vehicles especially with engines displacing 2.0L and above are not fuel efficient. It can get as high as double digits but can also get as low as 5-6km/L depending heavily on traffic conditions and road terrain.
So here are some suggestions in no particular order: Kia Carens VGT CRDi 6MT, Hyundai Starex GRX CRDi 5MT, Kia Carnival LX CRDi 5MT, Ford Focus TDCi 6MT

I'd recommend a Strada GLX, since your always going out town you never know what you might find and wanna buy on this trips. A cargo bed will surely come in handy. Like buying plants, wooden furniture etc. Somethings you cant load-up on a car or an SUV (big plants, tables chairs)... Plus you get tons of friends in the strada club
