The dealers already have the gas variant of the ms in their price list since last October. I guess there still is a market for gas powered suv's. There is still a lot of people who are wary about our dirty diesels and the higher maintainance cost of owning a diesel. Although diesel is still cheaper than petrol, the lower price point of the gas powered ms plus pms cycle of 10k rather than 5k makes the total cost of ownership of the gas variant makes it an appealing option. It won't be a volume seller, but should sell a few units and steal some market share of the gas powered fortuner

Mitsu is also releasing a 3.0 V6 Montero Sport, i think around 1.4m the price and you might want to check it out
