October 31st, 2011 09:07 PM #225-seater lang po ang legacy. and it's at 2M or so. that'd be the fastest on these 2 pages but i don't think it's what you're looking for. that'd be the sorento 2wd na lang yata ang pasok sa budget at specs ninyo.
kung mabagalan kayo perhaps you can do bolt-on mods and chip-up lalo kung tapos na warranty. i heard there's a carens who CLAIMS to have smoked a WRX with just a chip-up after all (hehe. di yata alam nung WRX na nakikipag karera yun carens sa kanya eh).

November 1st, 2011 12:08 AM #23Pag-isipan mo ng maigi ah... Sure ka you would be wanting a gasoline SUV with 4WD? Diesels are not as bad as you might think. We have the first and most problematic car that came with CRDi in this country and it has been running in tip-top condition for the whole of the nine years it's lived with no signs of failing aside from the usual wear and tear. With an average gas mileage of 5-7km/L city (with the traffic conditions here, it'll probably be more 5 than 7 ), the gas pump would soon be your best friend. We have a 2.4L i-VTEC here and I've seen how quickly the needle goes down, especially in spirited driving and heavy traffic conditions. And if the gas Sorento is really as fast as bro niky points out, you'd probably be doing it a lot. BTW, why do you insist on getting the 4x4 by the way? Do you go off road a lot?

^ Our 2.4L CR-V can do more 7 than 5 ;)
Usually 7.3km/L.

November 1st, 2011 01:04 AM #25Hmm~ more or less magkasingtipid pala yung CRV sa Trooper ah, if it gets an average of 7+km/L. Mas matipid yung GC sa 2.4 Theta II 4WD? Well that's new. And since alam na malakas sa gas ang Tucson 2.4 Theta II 4WD, eh di lalong mas malakas sa gas ang Sorento with the same engine? Kaya iniisip ko lang, mas matipid pa kaya yung Sorento 3.5V6 sa 2.4?

Yung ex-president namin sa TPH may SF 2.4 Theta II, before he gets 5 flat, ngayon nasa 6.7km/L na ata average niya.

Tucson 2.0 AT isn't bad. 6-8 km/l in the city... cousin gets similar fuel economy on the highway to his old 1.6 AT.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

November 7th, 2011 08:50 PM #28If your family is uncompromising on the powerplant, seating, drive, and budget, Captiva is your ONLY choice. Kasi both the Sorento and Fortuner gas are 2WD only. You can add them back if you're only after an SUV LOOK. If, on the other hand, your priority is the seating of 7 and still going with the gas engine, your horizon expands to include the MPVs like the Grand Livina, Innova, and Fuzion -- mas comfortable pa yung extra 2-3 people.
Kung ang flexible naman ay yung budget, then you can add the Explorer for an added 1M and maybe even the Tribeca for an added 1.5M. Just beware of the gas consumption.
So unless you're OK with the Captiva and would like more input, you need to specify which among your previous specs you're flexible on -- fuel type, # of seats, driven wheels, or budget.

November 11th, 2011 06:29 PM #30What the... Is there anywhere we can read more about this? Siguro they brought in the smaller V6 for lesser gas consumption. Yung 1.4M ba 4x4 na o 4x2 lang? They probably did this to counter the Fortuner 2.7VVTi.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
