    Yun mazda owner.

Manual or at sa inyo sir?

Sa choices mo and the budget, I'd go for Lancer, pizza model or cedia siguro.

    1. May nakapagsabi po kasi sakin na I should stick to Japanese brands when buying second hand cars kasi daw mas madali ang pyesa. Should I choose a Toyota vios 2006 instead of a Kia Rio 2011?
Should I avoid smaller types of vehicles?
    4. What about repossessed vehicles from banks?

    a. Nissan Sentra 2011
    b. Toyota Altis 2008
    c. Toyota Vios 2006
    d. Honda City 2007
    e. Honda Civic 2003
    f. Kia Rio 2011
    g. Mitsubishi Lancer 2006
    h. Kia Picanto 2011
    i. Hyundai i10 2012
    j. Hyundai Eon 2014
    k. Hyundai Getz 2012
    l. Suzuki Alto 2014
    m. Suzuki Celerio 2011
    n. Mazda 3 2006

Japanese cars are generally more durable than Korean cars in the long run. This is especially true with older models. Doubly so with the smaller, cheaper models.

Since you mentioned lesser traffic and significant highway mileage, I'd suggest you get a car with adequate power, say at least 1.5 or 1.6L in displacement and not lower than subcompact in size for a more comfortable and stable highway driving experience.

I'd go for the newest/freshest Altis or Sentra that the budget will allow. Since you mentioned light traffic, you can also consider more fuel efficient manual variants.

And then again, 200k can also get you a diesel Mitsubishi Adventure. Apart from the obvious perks of buying a tall diesel vehicle... It can seat 10, and yet is shorter than the typical compact sedan. Parts are cheap and can be found anywhere. Immortal 4D56 engine is fairly durable, fuel efficient, easy to maintain, and can still reach a respectable 140km/h should you floor it. Despite its Jurassic origins, modern prerequisite creature comforts offered include dual aircon, power windows, locks and mirrors, keyless entry and a tachometer which makes it acceptable in my books.
