Wew.. Mukhang bad decision din ata nangyari sakin.. [emoji43] [emoji21]

Salamats.. [emoji56]

    1. Put flags at the corners or ask somebody to stand at the corners of the vehicle. Sit inside, try to memorize how far or near the 4 corners of your car are.
    2. Remember always to look at the side you are turning to. DO NOT JUST USE THE SIDE MIRRORS, TURN YOUR HEAD AND LOOK OUT THE WINDOW FRONT AND BACK. The side mirrors do not show you what is beside your vehicle. It shows you what is behind on that side. To see what is beside, turn your head and look.
    3. Use the signal light. It only takes a flick of the finger. Make sure you signal way in advance and change lanes or turn only when clear.
    4. Position your foot IN FRONT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL AND NOT IN FRONT OF THE GAS PEDAL. Just turn your foot sideways to the right to step on the gas and never let it leave that spot in front of the brake pedal.
    5. If you miss your turn go around, do not slam the brakes. Eto common mistake ng new drivers, they slam the brakes when they miss a turn, e di rear collision agad.

Relate ko lang, when we were going to pangasinan last good friday there was this mitsu mirage (new car, obviously new driver) on the leftmost lane on nlex. He suddenly slammed on the brakes and made a swerve to the rightmost lane to enter the rest/gas/food stop before san fernando. Ayun preno kami lahat tapos sabay sabay na press on the horn. The guy and his passengers were obviously shaken by the experience. Nakahinto kami lahat and he just slowly went to the side, then slump his face on the steering wheel. The woman on the passenger seat was crying. They could have all died that day, ang dami namin na magkakarambola sa maliit na mirage niya.

See, the above true story has at least 3 things i pointed above - look before you turn that steering wheel, go around do not slam your brakes, and use signal lights.
Thank you po for sharing this reminder and experience.. [emoji4]

mabilis talaga ang auto loan, when one's background information is above reproach.

learn to drive manual. the automatic will come easily and naturally enough, afterward.
based on friends and relatives, i have yet to see someone learn to drive automatic, and then learn to drive manual afterward.

i once dangled the keys of my MT to my niece, who needed a car at that time. she had been driving for over a year already.... "ninong, hindi ako marunong mag manual."
in contrast, my son, who had been driving MT for less than six months only, easily drove my automatic car, the first time he tried.

    errr...
you don't have to buy a car now, just because you have the approval.
    take your time.
i hear the new rolls is coming out with its new model soon...

    happy motoring.

Ako first time ko lang mag drive. Di na ako mag aral mg manual. Automatic na agad. I dont care sa sasabihin ng iba na you are not a driver if you dont drive a manual. Hindi naman ako mag car racing.

Back in my college days, we had a friend who was gifted a spanking brand new Daihatsu Feroza. It was a pretty cute micro SUV back in the day. Just learned to drive.

Key is practice.

Ang daming dapat aralin tapos kinakain oras at energy mo learning to work the manual transmission eh matic naman pala ang gagamitin, edi over time makakalimutan din yun. It's one thing matuto magpaandar ng sasakyan, it's another to drive on the actual road with other motorists and traffic rules to follow. If limited driving lesson hrs, dapat siguro nagfofocus sa latter.

    "versatility."
but this is my opinion only.

MT drivers easily learn to drive AT, even without an instructor.
drivers who learned AT only, can't drive MT.

and because we don't really know what vehicle we will have to drive in the future...

pwede na yung 5 hours sa manual.. tapos 15 hours sa matic.. for your 20 hours.. mas maganda masanay ka na sa matic kasi matic naman yung car mo..

maganda din kahit papaano matuto ka mag manual.. para ma feel mo pano mag work ang clutch.. and shifting of gears..

Same din po naisip ko..
