Carbon deposits are a DI problem, regardless of badge. There are reasons they show up at varying rates.
Variable factors at play? Engine design, Usage, oil/fuel type are a few.
So far, the '13 CX5, '14 M3 workhorses here of much higher usage than that & a coupla friends' 3s beyond 100k kms have not had issues w/ performance, FC, oil level drop. Beyond 1st hand, communities of owner groups have yet to share common longterm signs. We'll see.
Mazda may have their reasons for their oil & fuel recommendations here in Ph.....beyond what many of us deem commercial.[emoji4]
