March 12th, 2012 11:33 AM #22A relative of mind once had a 4G92 EFI itlog and a 4G15 carb pizza. 4G92 has much better performance than the rather underpowered 4G15 carb (mahina daw sa akyatan) and yet gas mileage of the two are pretty much the same.

Yep better pa rin talaga performance and efficiency ng EFI compared to a carb engine of the same displacement.
Just be aware lang of what can go wrong with them especially when you're talking about cars of that age. Sa carb ang point of failure lang is the carb itself. Sa EFI you have the ECU, servo, throttle position sensor and cam position sensor (for distributorless engines like the pizza EFIs). March 12th, 2012 11:47 AM #24And what I'm talking about is a neglected 1994 itlog EFI and a rather fresh 2002 pizza carb ah. So far sa pagkaalam ko he had no major breakdowns with the itlog even at that age. What more if you maintain it well.
