Help Guys I'm looking for Vios second hand Matic (after hundred of hours lurking dito sa forums finally decided to go Vios, second Civic hehe) but I only have 200K cash on hand & I want Vios na second gen sana 2007 model up sana 300K + but hindi lalagpas sa 320K siguro...so kulang pa 100K...nagpunta ako sa bank BDO para mag-loan & hindi ako ma-aaprove kasi wala pa ako 2 years daw sa company...so what to do? I need the car this month may pambayad naman ako monthly pero ayoko mag-bayad ng 1 year pataas para sa car loan kaya nag-budget lang ako 300K+ para madali bayaran in 1 year or less (dami pa iba gastusin eh) so saan ako makakahanap ng car? anu options? may nakita ako sa sulit about financing yung siya yung maglalakad and maghahanap ng car (try searching AMCS2010 in sulit ganun yung raket niya pero alangan ako)

my suggestion? don't buy yet. there are reasons why there are such rules as you are now aware of. one of these reasons is that many would-be buyers, because of their zeal in getting the car of their dreams, often over-estimate their paying capability.. their dream becomes a nightmare..
now, if not buying is truly not an option, then you can perhaps downgrade your choice, into something more affordable.

I feel you bro. I know the itch of having the car ASAP. :D

Sad to say, I would also suggest na ipunin mo na lang yung 100k. IMO masyado mababa yung loan amount mo to be approved by the bank. Normally they disregard your tenure in your current company. Back then I got a loan even when I was still under probation in my new company (less than 6 months). Kailangan mo na ba talaga yung car?

Di ka in-approve ng BDO? Try other banks. Baka naman yung salary bracket mo e hindi pasok sa requirements nila. kasi ang years of tenure hindi na talaga tinitignan ng bank yan. ako nga wala pang 1 year sa company nakapag-Car loan na e. Try mo sa BPI, o sa ibang banks, basta wag mo sabihin na for Car Purchase yung purpose ng loan. sabihin mo lang personal.

Yep. Pag car kasi magiging collateral ang oto madami pang tanong. Kung personal mas mataas ang interest pero kung pasok naman income mo sa reqts good ka na.

^ Tama, kapag 100k lang mas OK na personal loan mo na lang. Hanap ka na lang ng bank na pinakamababa yung interest rates for a personal loan. Pero masmadali na dun sa bank na may account ka.

Hi! I can refer you on an agent, as long as it is Mitsubishi or Toyota. They are good friends of mine long before they became a car salesman/woman. I personally bought one from them (My Mirage). If you need help, you may send me a PM.

But just a bit of advice, tsikot and google is a friend. Before coming in a showroom, I suggest you do a bit of research about your candidate cars for consideration. Take into consideration PMS cost, a model's 'achilles heels' vis-a-vis your personal preference and needs and budget, of course. That way, you won't be confused upon selecting.

Case in point: Last year, we needed a small fuel efficient automatic hatchback. We bought a Mirage GLS. In a perfect world, I would have gotten us a Picanto 1.2L AT (not available back then, though) or a Mazda 2 R hatchback. The PMS cost of the Picanto at the time IIRC is higher than the Mirage, not to mention some dismal FC figures for a small car. Also, I prefer the safety of ABS and dual airbags which is absent in the Picanto and the Mazda 2 is just way out of the budget. Although I prefer the Picanto and 2's looks, I went home with a Mirage thinking it has more features than both, about as roomy as the 2 and just in the price league of the Picanto. It's not the perfect car out there, but it is perfect for my needs.
