August 7th, 2017 01:02 AM #94Nice!
I was reading about Subaru's Eyesight and according to the news (not yet official), it looks like the all new 2018 Subaru XV will incorporate what I'm looking for because they're starting to base their cars off of SGP. If this'll push through, I'll go with the2018 XV without any hesitation.

August 7th, 2017 02:03 AM #96I have to admit that I agree in it being farfetched but I'm crossing my fingers. Here's one of the articles that mentions it:

Do you guys recommend the 2018 CRV S Diesel over the 2018 XV 2.0i-S or 2017 Civic RS Turbo? Would it be a better buy considering this is Honda's first diesel attempt?
It looks like the 2018 XV won't get EyeSight after all but it has some features like lane change assist, high beam assist, and rear cross-traffic detection.

If you can afford it, it's definitely a more practical choice than your other 2 options.
Noone needs a Civic RS. Heck most Civic RS owner aren't even fast drivers. As far as CUVs go, the CRV is far more practical than the XV. Not only is it more spacious, it's also a diesel. The only advantages of the XV is the AWD (which is nice to have but you don't really need) and the better handling (which has never popped up as one of your priorities).
Even the 1.6V is good value for its price, but if you're looking for a full set of toys, the S is the way to go.
Ultimately, it depends on what you want/need most in a car. So go back to that and outline your top 3 must-haves, and decide from there if you want a sedan, CUV, or PPV. Once you get that sorted, choose between the models available, again based on your top priorities.
