April 14th, 2013 02:25 PM #31Sir, magkano budget mo for operational expenses? I suggest ipon ka muna, lakihan mo budget to get a car and get a decent and efficient ride.
Its not always about the budgeting for the purchase. It boils down to how much your expense will be in operating and repairing the car.

April 20th, 2013 01:46 PM #33Mga ka brod good day sa inyong lahat.
1. Toyota Corolla XL/GLi or Small Body
2. Mazda 323
3. Mitsubishi Lancer (galant mpi/gti, singkit, hotdog)
4. Nissan (series 2/3, lec)
Thanks.

April 20th, 2013 07:12 PM #34they all have pros and cons, depending on who's talking.
but the one thing that oversights them all is, how did the previous owner maintain the car?
my choice? i like the series 3 (bias bias..).. but maybe that's because the previous owner (me!) maintained it well.
and because the resale price of nissans is a little lower than toyota's, you can get the same features for less, in a used nissan..
btw, i saw your proposed "dream car". my guts tell me, you'll probably be happier if you get the much cheaper one uploaded "today 0:01". it appears as being sold by its owner (not dealer), in original (?) paint, and not your choice which was obviously re-painted by the dealer..why not go see, bringing an adviser along if you feel you are not "qualified" to evaluate..Last edited by dr. d; April 20th, 2013 at 08:02 PM.

June 24th, 2015 05:07 PM #36same scenario here, but i will be buying the car from a friend.
issues:
-pinto sa likod kaylangan sa loob buksan
-di na gumagana power windows
if I will try to restore the car. Magkano kaya aabutin? Or ok pa ba bilihin ung sasakyan?
Which I dont like since edsa ko dumadaan.

June 24th, 2015 09:42 PM #37^We used to have a 1989 SGX, it was sold way back in 2000. Even then malakas siya sa gas at maraming bagay na nasisira. Napakalambot ng kaha, parang gawa sa lata. If I'm not mistaken, this is the car that singlehandedly destroyed the resale value of Nissans in the country.
I'd suggest you find the B13 at least.

+1 I used to own the sibling SX & hated everything about it. Aside from the poor quality metal used, the plasticky interiors were prone to creaking, it had poor fc, anemic engine & very poor suspension (unstable & kalampagin). The only thing I liked about that car was the A/C.

June 25th, 2015 07:36 AM #39Wag yang sentra box type. tama yung isang poster yan yung nagpapangit sa image ng nissan sentra. Pero bumawi sila sa B13. One of the best selling cars during the 90s after corolla.
B13 LEC or B13 LEC-PS wag B13 super saloon. Maganda super saloon Nung unang labas. yan nga yung unang "all power" car. nauna pa sa corolla pero 15-25 years na yan at sigurado nagloloko na ang electricals nya at sabi ko nga mahal ang magpagawa kapag electrical. b13 Lec or LEC-Ps ka na lang. Mas mura maintenance.

July 7th, 2015 10:42 PM #40Since it's your friends car. P30k for a Nissan Sentra SGX 1991 model. Mura and ok na yan. And kung ang condition naman nung car, ay presentable pa at excellently good running, standing in good looking form. Aba! Naka-best buy kana jan. Kotse yan.
