From a different perspective:
Did a simple computation for a friend months back, July I think, between a GLS Gas and GL CRDi. The P180K outright difference buys you about 4,000L of petrol (assuming then it was P44/L) which will take you about 36,000 kms (assuming you get 9Km/L). At about 150 kms/week on average, that's over 4.5 years of free fuel for what you saved by buying the Gas unit.
Disclaimer: My friend planned to use the Tucson to get from point a to b. Newbie driver, so performance of the Theta II is definitely good enough. Nga lang, due to the long line, she went with another car.Last edited by IMm29; November 10th, 2010 at 11:02 AM. Reason: Additional info.

Ang problema eh hindi kayang mag 9km/L nung Tucson Theta II. Usually 5.5-7.8km/L lang sa city driving..
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
