Yung mga lumang diesel engine pwede na ang Mineral Oil. Change oil every 3000-5000kms.

Yung mga latest CRDi engines 2005/2006 above, gusto nila Fully Synthetic. Pwedeng every 5000, pwede every 10,000 ang change oil.

oh i see, mas mahal pala talaga maintenance ng mga CRDi. pag every 10K po ba ang palit ng oil hindi na maganda sa engine?

    For the TS:

i beg to disagree w/ your observation sir...

maybe if your vehicle is still under warranty and the PMS is done at the casa the maintenance is quite high but not costly specially if you bring your own oil and/or consumables but once the warranty expired and you decided to have the PMS done outside then that is the time that you can practice DIY on change oil and/or minor parts replacements which could translate practical PMS as well as savings for maintenance parts...

for me i will choose DIESEL ENGINE for all my lifetime because it serve me well for the past years i have a vehicle until now...CMIIW, gas engine derived its power from electrical components kaya pag nagkatrouble kahit isang electrical parts or wires nya di po ba ayaw nya mag-start unlike diesel engine minsan pag namatay makina tulak lang katapat nya, hehehe

FYI sir w/ the installation of catalytic converter and new & advance diesel engine technology today, the CRDI, i presumed lessen (or kung meron man theres something wrong w/ it) na ang mga rigs na mausok ngayon unlike before yun mga old school diesel engine...but opinion varies w/ our own preferences lang talaga yan

OT but let me add: as of now ang mahal lang sa PMS ko yun engine oil cost me 4K+ fully synthetic not the filters or replacement parts w/ 8-9kkm PMS interval, practical di ba.
