ideally, it should be notarized because its a legal document. what you can do is to call back the seller and ask for a copy of the notarized DOS.

If it will give you peace of mind,- pa-notaryo mo ang iyong kopya....

ok lang, pero much better if the two of you are holding the same notarized documents.

When I bought my car 2 years ago what I get is the car, the keys and 2 deed of sale. One from the 1st owner (lto registered/notarized) and open deed of sale of the 2nd owner to the 3rd owner and its not notarized. So when I filled out the form, the third owner was (car seller) was no longer part of the sale. I notarized the deed days after and encountered no problem. The seller never bothered to ask me a copy of the notarized deed.

Hi I am a 2nd owner of a car which I would like to sell.

Question is the registrations are not on my name yet, do I need to transfer it to my name first before I issue a deed of sale? or is it okay to sell it and the new owner will have 3 copies, 1 copy of the 1st owner, 1 copy of my name and 3rd copy on his name.

The first owner did not give me an open deed of sale.

First time seller Deed of sale buyer would notarized
