ideally, it should be notarized because its a legal document. what you can do is to call back the seller and ask for a copy of the notarized DOS.

December 17th, 2009 04:43 PM #7When I bought my car 2 years ago what I get is the car, the keys and 2 deed of sale. One from the 1st owner (lto registered/notarized) and open deed of sale of the 2nd owner to the 3rd owner and its not notarized. So when I filled out the form, the third owner was (car seller) was no longer part of the sale. I notarized the deed days after and encountered no problem. The seller never bothered to ask me a copy of the notarized deed.

Hi I am a 2nd owner of a car which I would like to sell.
Question is the registrations are not on my name yet, do I need to transfer it to my name first before I issue a deed of sale? or is it okay to sell it and the new owner will have 3 copies, 1 copy of the 1st owner, 1 copy of my name and 3rd copy on his name.
The first owner did not give me an open deed of sale.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
