January 4th, 2013 03:31 AM #21I guess 18km/L FC is great?

Most will say that the Altis and Civic of the same age as the Sentra N16 will do 10-11 Km/L on city driving. The MT models will do better compared to their AT counterparts. The Sentra N16 gets lower FC values (8-9 Km/L). The Lancer Cedia of the same age even gets lower FC (6-8 Km/L). Most compacts nowadays average the same figures (8-10 Km/L). Subcompacts (City, Jazz, Vios, etc) do much better in FC (10-12 km/L) while midsize cars (Accord, Camry, Galant, Mazda6) do around 6-8 Km/L. I am not sure about the FC of compact gas SUVs (Xtrail, Escape, Tribute, CRV, etc) but I do hear complaints of poor FC from friends who own 2nd gen CRVs only doing 5-6 Km/L. You can check in other forums regarding FC of the more common diesel SUVs (Fortuner, Montero Sport, Everest, Santa Fe, Sorento).

Gas mileage varies greatly from car to car, in different driving environments, routes, and driving styles. For example, our Accord 3.0V6 gets just around 5km/L city, but is able to do north of 10km/L in long drives.
Sa mga compact SUVs like CRV, Rav4, etc, 5-7km/L is the norm for those with 2.0-2.4L engines with A/T, slightly better with the M/T. V6 variants? Don't even bother. The bigger SUVs with 2.5L diesels typically get around 7-10km/L, and typically around 5-8km/L for he 3.0L diesels.
I'd be much happier in an ES Civic. VTi-S M/T variant of course.Last edited by GTi; January 4th, 2013 at 04:13 PM.

January 4th, 2013 09:22 PM #26Thanks sa info mga paps!
Hmm..
Ngayon last 3 nalang pinagiisipan ko..
On those last 2 criterias what would you pick between the 4 (kasama FD Civic).
TIA!

Definitely the FD Civic.
I get 8-9km/L city driving, 11km/L mixed, and the best I got on the highway was 16km/L on our 1.8 MT
And that thing is such an exciting car. The seats are a turn off though, it's on the hard side and the clutch can be annoying at times. But it's a great car.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
